External Control of steel structures

• ASSIGNMENTS:
  
  

• Assist the client or the main consulting engineer on technically relevant choices and decisions at the manufacturing stage in the workshop with the erection and with anti-corrosion protection for metal structures.
• Attest to the validity and the conformity of the manufacture instructions by examination of the plans and documents (calculation note) :
• Product certificates.
• Welding instructions.
• Plans and documents relative to the manufacture (quality, welding procedures and specifications).
• Checking the erection operation, welding and painting of the metal structures by different tests such as:
• Geometric tests - before, during and after erection.
• Non-destructive tests on welded connection joints (magnetoscopy, ultrasound, X ray or ACFN).
• Tests on the bolted joints
• Tests on the application of paint – destructive and non-destructive, and chemical analysis.

• RESOURCES:

• Laboratory comprising engineers and technicians specialized in metal structures.
• Qualified staff (IWT, COFREND II and ACQPA/FROSIO).
• ACFM Inspectors.
• Employees authorized to work at heights (rope access) and underwater works.
